Smart2PayTM, the company with the world's largest coverage of online alternative payment solutions, has recently launched a unique new refund product. It allows Merchants to refund any transaction, regardless of the payment method that was used for the initial payment. It also solves the situation where a payment method itself does not support (native) refunds.

With GlobalPay it is now possible to process refunds for all the payment methods, and all in a cost-optimised routing.

About Smart2PayTM’s new Generic Refunds product

The refunds can be made in full and/or partial depending on whether all or a part of the money has to be returned to the Customer.

In the case of a full refund the entire paid amount for the initial transaction is returned to the Customer.

Partial refunds allow for the possibility to refund a smaller amount than the initial transaction. Multiple refunds can be performed for the same transaction.

Refunds can be initiated by Merchants through the the GlobalPay API or via the GlobalPay Merchant Dashboard. Merchants can query the refund types available for a certain individual payment or for a country and currency.
